Every project is unique so the prices may vary depending on the requirements. Anywhere from $1,000 to north of 10,000, the only thing that is certain is that if a company offers you a price without talking to you extensively about your needs, they are either misquoting and will probably ask for more money down the road, or they won´t deliver on what you need.
This can also vary on two main factors. The complexity of a project and the level of engagement from the client. Our projects usually last anywhere from 3 weeks to 8 weeks. More complex projects requiring complex functionality can take several months.
A template is a pre-made design that is sold to many people. Designers usually adapt the client´s branding to the template to give it a more distinctive look, however the structure and layout remains the same. A custom website is built from scratch specifically tailored to the client´s requirements. There are no limits in terms of structure, layout, and overall look and feel. If you want a quick solution and are on a budget, a template is a good option, however if you want a website that truly stands out, custom is the way to go.
This depends on the kind of website you get. A static website is one that once coded the content is fixed. If you want to add a page, or modify text you will need someone who knows coding. A website with a CMS (Content Management System) allows any person to log into the backend of the website and make these types of changes with no coding knowledge whatsoever.
